John Micklos, Jr. has compiled three previous poetry books. He is an award-winning education journalist and the longtime editor in chief of Reading Today , the membership newspapers of the International Reading Association. He lives in Newark, Delaware. Kathleen O'Malley is an accomplished picture-book illustrator who lives in Glenview, Illinois. As one of eleven children, she's had plenty of experience with sibling rivalry as well as sibling companionship.
