Martin Waddell is one of the finest contemporary writers of books for young people. Joe Wright has illustrated many well-loved children's picture books, such as the What-a-Mess books written by Frank Muir, and several titles in Allan Ahlberg's Happy Families series, including Mrs Plug the Plumber, which won the Other Award. A freelance illustrator for magazines and books, he also designs greeting cards. Joe lives in Somerset. John Williams is a former head teacher of primary science.
