Jodie Parachini grew up in Concord, Massachusetts and studied at Trinity College and Georgetown University in the US. She now lives in London with her husband and two daughters, where she is a freelance editor of adult and children's non-fiction. This is the first picture book she's written that is her idea. Richard Smythe graduated from an Illustration master's degree in 2010. Since then, he has worked with Simon & Schuster, Walker Books, Faber & Faber, Little Tiger Press and Frances Lincoln. He loves illustrating animals, inventing characters and telling stories.
