Beth went to the seaside with her mum and dad. While she was there, she wrote some postcards to send to her gran back at home. Postcardd from Beth is a book-banded reading book for early readers, carefully levelled at Yellow Book Band for guided reading. Beautifully illustrated throughout, this 177-word story is suitable for ages 5 - 6. Postcards from Beth features a short, structured text with accessible vocabulary, has more variation in sentence structure with some repetition in patterns. Punctuation includes comma, full stops, exclamation and question marks, and direct speech. Postcards from Beth is part of Ransom Reading Stars, a structured programme for children learning to read.
