Emma Chichester Clark studied at Chelsea School of Art and then the Royal College WHere she was taught by Quentin Blake. She won the Mother Goose Award in 1988 for Listen to This. Jez Alborough enjoys guitar playing, laughing, roller-skating, learning how to do new things, and juggling, a hobby he finds relaxing when working on a book and has been known to demonstrate in bookstores. Jez Alborough lives in London. Judith Kerr OBE was born in Berlin. Her family left Germany in 1933 to escape the rising Nazi party, and came to England. She studied at the Central School of Art and later worked as a scriptwriter for the BBC. David Mackintosh was born in Belfast and grew up in Australia. He is a graphic designer, art director and illustrator. His innovative book designs have won him numerous awards in Britain and internationally, and has collaborated with some of the most celebrated names in children's publishing. Collins UK has been publishing educational and informative books for almost 200 years. Oliver Jeffers' outstanding talent has been recognised by several high-profile awards, including the Nestle Children's Book Prize Gold Award. `Lost and Found' animation was broadcast on Channel 4. Oliver lives and works in Brookyln, New York. Rachel Bright is a writer, illustrator, designer, printmaker and eternal optimist! Rachel has worked as an air hostess, an extra in Doctor Who and an advertising copywriter, and her picture book, My Sister is an Alien won the Nottingham children's book award. Rachel also runs the card and gift company The Bright Side. Author: Simon Puttock wa born in New Zealand but now lives in Edinburgh. He is an established children's picture book writer and has worked with many publishers including Macmillan and OUP. David Walliams has become one of the most influential children's writers today. He lives in Rutland with his wife, Liz, who is also an artist. Rob only had to look out of his studio window to find the inspiration for Russell the Sheep.
