Linda Sunderland was a primary school teacher for 28 years in the North of England. In retirement, she began writing stories for her grandchildren and in 2014 she completed an MA in creative writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. Since then she has continued writing picture books for children, publishing her first, Raven Child and the Snow Witch in 2016 and her second, The Kiss in 2019. Linda loves astronomy, travelling, reading, and conversations with interesting people. Jessica Courtney-Tickle is a freelance illustrator currently based in rural Cambridgeshire. She graduated from Kingston University in 2014 where she found a specialism in picture book illustration. Her work combines vibrant colours with lots of detail and many different, quirky characters. Her love of nature and greenery can be seen in her illustrations of foliage which accompany much of her work. Jessica Courtney-Tickle graduated from Kingston University in July 2014 where she studied Illustration and animation and found a specialism in children's picture books. She loves working with colour, texture and lots and lots of characters. Jessica lives in Cambridgeshire.
