You see, the DISASTER with Rooney, our class rat, might not have been such a DISASTER if it wasn't for Cosmo Moon Webster and his Amazing Maze. AND it is utterly not my fault that the Patented Burglar Trap accidentally tripped Gran over, so her bone went snap. ALSO, I only took Barry the cat to the hospital so he could revive Gran with The Power Of Pets. How was I to know it would be a Complete CATastrophe?

Joanna Nadin was born in Nottingham. She is a former broadcast journalist and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, and continues to freelance as a political speechwriter. She has also been a cleaner and a juggler. Jess Mikhail studied at Loughborough University, graduating with a degree in Illustration. She uses lots of different techniques in her artwork; drawing, scanning, printing and scribbling to create bright illustrations that are full of colour and texture. Jess' first picture book, I Love You, Little Monster was published by Orchard Books in 2012. She lives and works in Birmingham.
