Stanley's a champion hamster and he's favourite to win the Doveton Summer Show. But behind the scenes, rival owners are plotting, and when Stanley escapes from his cage just before judging begins, Helen and Hannah suspect foul play. The twins vow to find him - but Stanley's not so keen to be found.

Jenny Oldfield was born in Yorkshire in 1949 and studied English at university. She is the successful author of many books for children and adults, and lives in the country with her two children.
