Jenny Oldfield was born in Yorkshire in 1949 and studied English at university. She is the successful author of many books for children and adults, and lives in the country with her two children. Sian Hardy was a children's book editor for many years before becoming Editor for the highly regarded book club, Books for Children. She has an MA in Children's Literature. Kate Aldous mainly illustrates children's books, working in black & white and watercolours. She has worked for many different publishers, including Kingfisher, Hodder & Stoughton, Oxford University Press, BBC Publications, Methuen and Walker Books.
