A little girl has to get a pair of new shoes that suit her perfectly (One shoe, two shoes, I need new shoes! Off I go to the new shoe store!). But it's not always easy to find exactly the right ones - several shops, and much shoe inspection later, our charming (but choosy!) heroine finally agrees on a pair. Jeanne Willis is famed and much-loved for her child's-eye view on everyday matters and Margaret Chamberlain's lively illustrations will charm yet more fans.
