In a few short, melancholic, yet wistful paragraphs, a boy tells of his journey to the United States. Together with his mother and sister, he heads across the Mexican border in search of both work and the opportunity to find his father. Accompanying this journey of words is one long, beautiful illustration that recalls the skillful narratives of the pre-Hispanic codices. An accordion fold-out frieze featuring one-colour art, with the text in English on one side and in Spanish on the other. Original package is cloth-bound front and back covers with no spine and tied with a ribbon. Our edition will have paper insert as back cover with descriptive copy, bar code, etc. and will be shrink-wrapped.
