This book introduces children to the varied world of science. It aims to not only educate but also inspire! This rhyming picture book is all about a Mummy's work as a Scientist. From understanding the workings of the body, to studying the stars; this book covers many areas of science! The aim is to transform the way in which youngsters perceive various careers. By raising awareness of careers from a young age, Butterfly Books aims to reduce the national skills gap problems as well as reduce gender bias in all careers. The hope is that the books will not only educate, but also inspire! Butterfly Books was founded by brother and sister duo Kerrine Bryan and Jason Bryan. Kerrine is a chartered electrical engineer. She has a passion for inspiring the young and introducing them to the career options available to them. In 2014 she was listed as one of the UKs top 35 women in business under the age of 35, was the 2015 STEM PRECIOUS Award Winner and is a 2016 We Are The City Rising Star Winner. Jason has a background in finance and is a keen writer. Having a young daughter, he is concerned that children are not exposed to the range of opportunities available to them early enough in life. He hopes that the books will not only educate, but also inspire. For more details go to www.butterflybooks.uk
