His own experience and those of his father lead him to make the decision to stop drinking and look elsewhere for a solution to the difficulties he faces. The author, Janine Amos, has written nearly one hundred information books for children. Many of these examine psychological problems and emotional health issues. Her interests are in personal growth and raising self-esteem. The consultant, Dr Gillian Rice, is a GP and medical broadcaster.
