Janet Lawler is a prolific author specializing in children's literature. Her books have been published across the globe and have been translated into several languages. Lawler received a BA in government and American studies from Connecticut College and went on to complete her JD at the University of Connecticut. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Artist and illustrator Martin Davey began his career with freelance positions in commercial art, where he worked with design, layout, and special effects animation. He then began to concentrate on digitally-produced illustrations. Davey studied graphic design, film, and animation at Bournemouth College of Art and Design. Janet Lawler is the author of numerous books for young children, including Rain Forest Colors , Love is Real, and Ocean Counting . She lives in Farmington, Connecticut.
