A new and unique interactive journal full of questions, ideas, and thoughts to contemplate. A journal is for recording secrets, dreams, and disappointments, and for marking a time in your life and what is important to you at that moment, for capturing who you are -- and who you want to become. In Hey Girl! A Journal of My Life, you are the hero of the story -- your life story so far!

The journal is divided into 11 sections: Important Things to Know About Me Here's Looking at You, Kid Me and My Family Emotionally Speaking My Family Roots How Do I Rate? Where I Live Me and Other People Me and My Friends My Future My Favorites

You are invited to write, draw or paste photos to capture thoughts, reflect on feelings, or simply record events. There is no right or wrong way to use this journal and sections can be completed in any order. The "take a moment to dream" segments allow you to imagine what your life would be like if certain things were different.

Ask others to help fill in the gaps of your early life story and family history. Favorite movies, books, clothes, and hairstyles are recorded for all time. Don't just list your friends and family but consider your relationships with them. Have they ever hurt your feelings? Have you hurt theirs? Admit what is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you, or the funniest. Fill out a school report card -- it is your turn to give out the grades.

Examine your innermost feelings and decide difficult questions like: What would you like to change about yourself? What are your fears? What bugs you? And don't forget, what was your best experience ever? How about your proudest moment? What kind of person are you? Be honest. Are you a risk taker? A rebel? A leader? What qualities do you admire in yourself and others? Take the personality test to help you better understand the type of person you are.

Lively yet penetrating subjects encourage each journal writer to get to know herself in a way she may never have done before. Girls are invited to be creative, think deeply, and express their most private thoughts. With an emphasis on self-examination and reflection, Hey Girl! is a journal that every young girl will treasure -- now and for years to come!
