James Charlton was a member of the Northern Beach Writers Group in Sydney. He wrote half hour radio plays which were broadcast on his local radio station. The Adventures of Andy Aardvark is his debut book. His granddaughter, Noni Charlton helped to create the Aardvark character at aged nine. He lives in London and New Zealand. Susan Wood is the author of the forthcoming picture-book biography Esquivel! Space-Age Sound Artist, illustrated by Duncan Tonatiuh. She lives in Norfolk, Virginia. Ross MacDonald is the illustrator of many books for children, including Henry Hand and Hit the Road, Jack. He lives in Connecticut.
