Kathleen Gormley has a Masters degree in modern history and teaches history and politics at St Cecilia's College in Derry. For two years she was seconded to the Western Education and Library Board as a History advisor. She is author of several local history publications and textbooks, including co-authorship of the other two books in this series. Dr Austin Logan, until his untimely death in 1995, was an Advisor on Environment and Society with the Western Education and Library Board. He was the prime mover behind this series of books.
