Franny K Stein isn't like all the other kids in her class. She's very different. She prefers poison ivy to daisies, piranhas to goldfish, and when Franny skips, she uses her pet snake as a rope. Being so utterly unique makes it difficult for Franny to make friends. But Franny is a scientist, and inspired by her favourite teacher, she undertakes one of the most dangerous experiments ever - the experiment of "trying to fit in." The experiment is a huge success and Franny is enjoying her popularity when a freak waste bin incident creates a monster - a monster that only a mad scientist can defeat! What should Franny do? Should she go back to her old creepy self in order to destroy the monster and save the day? And will she still have friends if she does?
