Great for age 10-18 years
Fyfe MacPhee, Spit's grandfather, is an unstable man, and Spit is largely left to fend for himself fishing on the riverbanks that surround his new home. Opinions of Spit divide the village; some feel he can look after himself, others think he would be better cared for in a children's home. When Fyfe passes away, the debate intensifies, and Spit's future is left hanging in the balance.
