This is an introduction to the world for young children featuring Harry and Ralph, a young boy and his dog as they journey around the world in a hot-air balloon. On the way they come across all sorts of things, from weather balloons to polar bears and the geographic principles which shape our environment. Children learn how to use maps and globes to find out about the local area and beyond. They find out about the North and South Poles, the Equator, oceans, deserts, continents and countries. They also find out how the globe can be represented as a map.
