The story of Buck, the fiercely loyal and powerful dog of the Yukon, has been author Jack London's most popular novel since it was first published in 1903. Ricardo Villagran is a comicbook artist who began his career as an artist in his native Argentina. After meeting Chuck Dixon in 1983, Villagran went on to pencil and ink comicbooks for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Archie Comics, and countless other companies. The story records the 'decivilisation' of Buck as he answers 'the call of the wild', an inherent memory of primeval origins to which he instinctively responds.
