A study of the Muslim religion, designed for below average Key Stage 3 students of religious education. It is part of the "Seeking Religion" series, which seeks to offer balanced, factual and culturally sensitive approaches to the major world religions, along with opportunities for students to explore and reflect upon their own beliefs and values. Topics covered in this text include Muhammad; Jesus, Christians and Muslims; the Qu'ran; fasting, charity and pilgrimage; and Islam's gifts to the world.

This book is suitable for Key Stage 3. KS3 covers school years 7, 8 and 9, and ages 12-14 years. A key stage is any of the fixed stages into which the national curriculum is divided, each having its own prescribed course of study. At the end of each stage, pupils are required to complete standard assessment tasks. This book is aimed at children in secondary school.

Kevin O'Donnell was formerly a teacher of RE but is now ordained minister in the Church of England and works in the Diocese of Chichester. He has written numerous books in the Seeking Religion series and in the New Approach series for GCSE. John Aylett, a hugely successful history textbook writer, wrote the original edition.
