Allowing for differences between denominations, this book explains the main beliefs and practices of the Christian Church. It does this by way of the Christian year and its festivals, with special emphasis on the symbolic nature of religious expression. This second edition incorporates the original text with new illustrations. New assignments encourage pupils to explore the relevance of religion to their own lives. The text is part of a series of core textbooks on Christianity for pupils aged 11 to 15 years.
