Jenni Tavener is a reception teacher, writer and mother of two young children. She has written for Child Education, Infant Projects and Nursery Education magazines and is the author of a wide range of Scholastic early years books. She is a regular contributor to Early Years Activity Bank. Jacquie Finlay is a Reception class teacher who has written extensively for Scholastic's early years list. Therese Finlay is a Reception teacher who has written extensively for Scholastic's early years list. Jenni Tavener is a reception teacher, writer and mother of two young children. She has written for Child Education, Infant Projects and Nursery Education magazines and is the author of a wide range of Scholastic early years books. She is a regular contributor to Early Years Activity Bank. Irene Yates was a primary school teacher and is now an educational consultant and writer, and Writer-in-Schools. She has written for Scholastic for many years. She is the author of over 120 books for other publishers as well as radio programmes for BBC Radio Education department. A member of the Society of Authors, with over 60 titles to her name, Irene Yates has also written for the Times Education Suppliment, Scholastic Teachers' Magazine and BBC Schools' Radio. An expert in literacy and language development, she became a writing member of the first SCAA KS1 Test Development Team, and contributed to the Reading Tests in 1995, 1996 and 1997. She also visits schools reqularly as a Writer and Poet, and runs teacher training days in all aspects of language development, particularly literacy.
