Her first poetry picture book, Dear Wandering Wildebeest , won a Nerdy Book Award for Poetry and was named an NCTE 2015 Notable Poetry book, among other honors. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Thea obtained her BA (Hons) Degree in illustration at the prestigious Falmouth University. Her dissertation was on the subject of grief in children's books.
