'I need you to help me. I can't get back.'
Oliver Gasper has found an ancient magazine with a 'disappearing' formula in it. He's tried it... and it's worked! The problem is, somebody's stolen the magazine and Oliver can't remeber the words he needs to get back again. And he's fast learning that being invisible isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Fed up with being sat on in buses, and facing death just crossing the road, Oliver turns for help to Nicky Chew. Nicky has always made himself invisible by staying out of trouble and avoiding the attention of teachers but that doesn't mean he knows what to do now. Together they must track down the missing formula because if they don't Oliver may never be seen again...
