Robert Swan is a head teacher and has extensive experience of teaching contemporary texts for A-level literature, as well as politics and history. He is also author of the Teacher Resource Pack on The Second World War Novel and Student Text Guides on Spies and Atonement, also published by Philip Allan Updates. Ian McEwan is the critically acclaimed author of seventeen books. His first published work, a collection of short stories, First Love, Last Rites, won the Somerset Maugham Award.
