A football match in Florence, Italy was stopped in 1954. The players and the crowd looked into the sky to watch flying saucers overhead. The first in a series of "Fact Attack"" books, Awesome Aliens is a fun collection of rumours and reports which is ideal for children with an interest in the mysterious. The brief, easy-to read facts are great for satisfying questioning minds with loads for those intrigued by aliens, UFOs and flying saucers. The facts cover subjects from historical alien sightings dating back to the Egyptians and Greeks to the controversial Area 51 in Nevada USA. There are also some more scientific facts about the planets, space, asteroids and satellites as well as intriguing stories of corn circles. Considering the subject matter, it's a little hard to believe that all the ""facts"" really are facts, but its a great little title about the unexplained and unexplainable which even includes invaluable tips on what to do if you see an alien! (Tip: keep calm!) (Ages 5-8) -- Rachel Ediss "
