Ian Beck is well known for his Teddy Bears in particular but has also had a varied and diverse career as an illustrator. With Teddy Tales , this accomplished artist has returned to his first love and has incorporated this talent with the tried and tested format of the traditional fairy tale by using fine-looking teddies as the main characters, therefore adding infinite toddler appeal. Teddy Tales is ideal for anyone wishing to introduce young readers to a range of traditional stories. The text is simple and the illustrations are aimed very much at the younger reader. Books based on traditional stories abound in the children's book world but Ian Beck has successfully made this series different enough to warrant a second look. Age 3 and over -- Miranda Warren
