This series of 10 comprehension exercises is designed to give pupils practice in reading and understanding a variety of written passages, and in answering questions based on their reading. It aims to act as a bridge between the work done in the Reading Comprehension Key Stage 1 pack and the more advanced work in the Key Stage 2 pack. The passages offer a variety of reading experience from children's fiction through poems to factual passages. The ten units are divided into three levels: units 1 - 6 are aimed at reading level 2 of the national curriculum, units 7 - 9 are aimed at level 3a, unit 10 is aimed at level 4.
