This is a book of photocopiable activity sheets intended to help children become enthusiastic, motivated and reflective readers. The activities encourage readers to think critically, justify preferences and discuss viewpoints other than their own about the books they read. It is based on an adventure story "Krindlekrax " by Philip Ridley, which tells the tale of Ruskin Spear's quest to become a hero. His amazing adventures, take him down the sewers to tame Krindlekrax, a giant crocodile. The book is intended for Key Stage 2 English readers and aims to help teachers organise tasks which introduce children to a range of specific key reading skills as outlined in the reading PoS. These activity sheets, which are part of a series are banded for intermediate readers.
