Miriam B. Schiffer is a New York based writer and childrens book consultant. She co-authors the childrens book review column 'The Reading Chair' in Young Children, a journal of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Miriam lives with her husband and twin sons in Brooklyn. This is her first book for children. Holly Clifton-Brown was brought up in the English countryside where she loved to look at the pictures in books. Nothing has changed. Eventually she packed her paints and completed a degree in illustration at the University of the West of England. She has illustrated several books for children, including Annie Hoot and the Knitting Extravaganza and How to Be a Ballerina. She lives in London. Holly Clifton-Brown has a first class degree in illustration from the University of the West of England. Her distinctive and magical illustrations combine traditional painting with contemporary techniques.
