Pinpoint is a new series of activities and resources created to provide you with highly focused resources for specific needs in Maths.

  • 130 page photocopiable book, A4 size, containing differentiated maths word problems plus answers

  • Covers every objective in the Year 5 Programme of Study

  • Shows whether children can use and apply maths knowledge to solve problems in context

  • 3 levels of difficulty on each page (Towards, Securing and Deeper) provide appropriate challenge for all and take children into greater depth

  • Includes free online version

This flexible and easy to use resource is designed to save teachers time searching for differentiated questions. Questions are set out by curriculum objective, making it easy to use them flexibly for any given topic: e.g. as problem-solving practice, to check whether children have met an objective, or as a 'cold task' to analyse prior knowledge and any misconceptions before starting a topic. The questions can be photocopied and cut out, or printed directly onto a sheet of sticky labels in order to add them into children's exercise books quickly.
