This book presents the basics of maths, such as shapes, measurements and number, to children in a fun and enjoyable way. It covers the key parts of the National Curriculum for Mathematics at Key Stage I and has been designed specifically for use during the numeracy hour. The series progresses from Mathswork 1 at Key Stage 1 and Mathswork 2 at the bottom of Key Stage 2 , into themed titles at the upper end of Key Stage 2 , which deal with the main headings of the National Curriculum and the Numeracy Programme at the appropriate year-group levels. Differentiation between activities allows children to work at their own level. Notes for adults explain how the books can be used, extension activities and where the books fit into the National Numeracy Strategy.
