This is a less well-known but just as exciting and charming comic book adventure from the creator of Tintin. In Destination New York the Stratoship H.22, designed by Jo and Zette's father, suffers an attempted bombing. Jo and Zette fly it out of its hangar and unable to return they crash land near to the North Pole. There they face a race against time to return the plane to home and win the trans-Atlantic challenge. But they haven't counted on the efforts of the Stockrise brothers to scupper their plans. The Adventures of Jo, Zette and Jocko was created by Herge in the same comic book style as his most iconic character, Tintin, whose place amongst the classic children's characters still helps to sell over 100,000 copies every year in the UK, with an estimated 230 million sold worldwide since Herge first put pen to paper on him. Tintin was adapted for the silver screen by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson in 2011.

Herge, one of the most famous Belgians in the world, was a comics writer and artist. The internationally successful Adventures of Tintin are his most well-known and beloved works. They have been translated into 38 different languages and have inspired such legends as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. He wrote and illustrated for The Adventures of Tintin until his death in 1983. Jason Reynolds is crazy. About stories. He is the author of critically acclaimed When I Was the Greatest, for which he was the recipient of the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent; the Coretta Scott King Honor books Boy in the Black Suit and All American Boys (cowritten with Brendan Kiely, also the winner of the Walter Dean Myers Award); As Brave As You, his stunning middle grade debut; andGhost, the first book in his middle grade Track series.
