In the field, near a big old oak tree, a squirrel dropped an acorn. During the winter, the sun shone, the rain fell, and the wind blew. By spring, the acorn had split, and pushed up a tiny shoot...This pastoral tale follows the progress of the little oak tree from sapling to big oak. It tells of the forces of nature and the struggle to survive against all the odds.
