Dragged off to darkest Cornwall by her grieving mother, Katie is miserable. Not only has she lost her father-now she's lost her home and all her friends too. Her mother thinks she's going to make new friends just like that-she's even got a new friend lined up for Katie already - Zillah. Well, Katie certainly isn't going to like her. Even if she does have a boat of her own. And a diamond ring on a string round her neck. And a deep, dark secret.
