A reissue of an engrossing story from the well-loved Hazel Townson. Damian Drake rescues his dog from a well and gets his name into the newspapers. He then receives a letter from a girl he has never met which sparks off a long correspondence between the two. As more and more letters are exchanged a sinister thread creeps in and the story gathers speed for a final amazing drama.

Hazel Townson was formerly Chief Assistant Librarian in charge of work with young people in Bury, Lancashire.
