This book provides an invaluable resource to support teachers in delivering the dance requirements of PE National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2. It adopts a topic-based approach which links dance as a distinct art form to other areas of the curriculum. Each topic is visualized by means of a flow chart identifying possible areas for dance, and lesson examples are given for years RYl/Y2, Y3/4, Y5/6 so that a clear progression is achieved. Advice on assessment and different stimuli for dance is also given. Topics include spring, summer, autumn, winter, earth, air, water, stories, patterns, machines and materials.
