Hazel Mary Martell is a children's editor and author who has written across a range of subjects. Paul G. Bahn studied archaeology at Cambridge, completing his PhD on the prehistory of the French Pyrenees. His main research interest is prehistoric art, especially rock art of the world, and most notably Palaeolithic art, as well as the archaeology of Easter Island. He led the team which discovered the first Ice Age cave art in Britain in 2003 and 2004. His books include The Story Of Archaeology: The 100 Great Archaeological Discoveries, Archaeology: A Very Short Introduction (1997), The Cambridge Illustrated History of Archaeology (1996), The Cambridge Illustrated History of Prehistoric Art (1998), Archaeology: The Key Concepts (with Colin Renfrew) (2004) and The New Penguin Dictionary of Archaeology (2005).
