Trevor the One-Eyed Tractor is John's first children's poetry book, which will appeal to both boys and girls. Written in a humorous style, this book will interest young children who are learning to read and will be especially useful for bedtimes and reading aloud with parents.Written in simple verse, children will become active participators in the story by learning the sounds made by the animals Trevor meets along his journey. The repetition of key lines also makes it easy and enjoyable for children to repeat the poem aloud. Such an engaging book will ensure reading remains a fun and valuable activity for all.Where this picture book differs is its Welsh influence, subtly appealing to a Welsh target market. Colourfully illustrated by Hannah Reilly, the characters are brought to life in an amusing way. With brown and white cows wearing Welsh National shawls and sheep with French berets and onions, adults and children alike will enjoy Trevor's adventures and the characters he meets.
