Laura Driscoll is the author of numerous first chapter and beginning reader books, including We Are Twins and The Bravest Cat! She lives in central Connecticut with her husband and two children. Curious George has found a lasting place in the hearts of millions of boys and girls all over the world ever since he was brought to life by Margret and H. A. Rey more than sixty years ago. H. A. Rey and his wife, Margret , first introduced the world to the bighearted, fun-loving troublemaker-hero Curious George in 1941, and young readers have been in love with him ever since. Anna Grossnickle Hines has written or illustrated more than 50 books for children. My Grandma Is Coming to Town was influenced by her own family. When her first grandson was born, he lived very far away, and she couldn't see him very often. She taught him "pat-a-cake" on a visit, and he associated her with the game afterwards. Then, while reading one of her books about a grandmother to a group of children, one child mentioned that her grandmother lived far away, and another said, "My grandpa flies on a big airplane. " And that was the beginning of this story! Meslissa Sweet lives in Maine with her family and her dog, Rufus, who sometimes gives her nose kisses. She is the illustrator of numerous books for children, including On Christmas Day in the Morning and Girls Think of Everything by Catherine Thimmesh. About this book she says, "When I was little, I was very shy when company came over, so I completely understood Jacob's dilemma. I had a favorite stuffed sheep I probably hid behind, and luckily Jacob has Nosey. "
