Artist and writer Guundie Kuchling was born in Austria but came to live in Australia after falling in love with the country and its creatures. She takes great care to make sure that her work is scientifically accurate, but it is her passion for the natural world that makes her work so delightful. Guundie is the author of many picture books for children, including the Yakkin series and Squiggle, Diddle, Plop!.
