Before becoming an author and illustrator she was a baker, a Christmas elf and a designer for Penguin Books. She now lives in New York where she spends her days making a mess, drawing pictures and writing stories. Cannonball Coralie and the Lion (May 2018, Frances Lincoln Children's Books) is her debut picture book.
