What would a class be without a dunce? A bit like a curry without spice. And Ducoboo sure spices up his fellow pupils' days. Not one lesson goes by without flavour - with him, school is an endless string of break-times. Of course, there's always Leonie, the terribly gifted girl who doesn't put up with Ducoboo's messing and doesn't believe in sharing knowledge. Of course, there's also the teacher, whose index finger turns out to be more threatening than ever...No, school life isn't one long, smooth ride: for some, the school year is perhaps the most dangerous time of all!

The irresistible rise of Ducoboo is due to the talents of Zidrou and Godi. A former teacher and current creator of songs and books for children, Zidrou is the scriptwriter of several Graphic Novels, notably Ducoboo, which he produces in collaboration with Godi. Godi published his first humorous comic strips in the Tintin Newspaper during the Seventies. Appearing in 1992, their Ducobu Pupil quickly became a favourite character of children. Zidrou is an author of short stories, picture books and graphic novels, born in Belgium and living in France. He began his working life as a teacher, before turning to writing. He has now had more than 20 books published.
