Describing the different types of homes throughout the world, this book explains how each home is suited to the environment and which materials are more suited to which climates. The differences between homes around the world are illustrated room by room. The book even goes outside the house to explore security systems. The book is one of a series which uses topics familiar to young children to introduce them to the larger world of other countries and cultures. The simple minimal text and large colour photographs make it suitable for Key Stage 1.
