How are children around the world different from us? How are they the same? In this series, readers will learn about each country's traditions and history, as well as how kids around the world spend their daily lives. In India, Shubha, Jyoti, and Bhagat live very different lives. Shubha lives in southern India and studies classical dancing, Jyoti lives in a crowded apartment in Calcutta, and Bhagat lives in an extremely poor farming village in north India. They all speak different languages and practice various religions, but they are all Indian. With illustrations and photographs throughout, featuring some of the most important architecture and historical figures of the region, this book provides a great introduction to another culture.
