Anna Currey had a wild bohemian upbringing. She lives in a rambling house in Corsham, Wilthsire, with her family and lots of cats. Gillian Shields was born and brought up in Yorkshire. She read english and Cambridge and then trained as an actress before teaching acting and becoming director of a London drama school. She now lives in the country, and teaches drama and English, part-time, in a local school
