Gillian Clarke is a poet, editor and occasional broadcaster with an infectious passion for words. She has published several volumes of her own poetry, including Letting in the Rumour and The King of Britain's Daughter, both of which were Poetry Society recommendations. Although this is Gillian's first anthology for children, she has extensive experience of running creative writing workshops for children in schools. Born in Cardiff, Gillian now lives in Wales with her husband and a menagerie of pets. Justin Todd studied at the Royal College of Art and now teaches at the University of Brighton. A highly regarded illustrator, he is best known for his interpretations of Alice in Wonderland and The Wind in the Willows. He has exhibited his work in Great Britain to great acclaim. Justin combines his extraordinary imagination with a painstaking gouache technique to create his beautiful illustrations. He lives in Sussex with his wife.
