Captain Cool and the Ice Queen is a swashbuckling tale of adventure on the high seas. Join the Captain and his intrepid cat Patch as they foil the Ice Queen's plot to freeze the world's oceans. The cartoon-like format is attractive to reluctant readers and children will enjoy Patch's dreadful puns and hunting for visual jokes in the lively illustrations. Captain Cool and the Ice Queen is one of thirteen books that make up Independent Reading Level A, for children in Year 3/Primary 4.
